I hate that you’re not sure of yourself. That you hate waking up because it means another day of a job you don’t love, sacrificing time away from your family to do it, all while making barely enough to make ends meet. That your time, energy, and talent are the most valuable resources you have, and yet you’re forced to trade them for nowhere near what they’re worth. 

I know how everyday you feel a pull to something...more.

To be much muchier. To do what you were made to do. To be a part of creating the world you’ve imagined it could be. You’re not one to ask for help, or to dream too much without doing anything about it, so you can feel it killing the life and spirit you had once upon a time. It’s destroying you from the inside out to not only be unfulfilled everyday, but to not even know where to start to fill that gap. 

And you know what? I feel you. I was you.

I know what it’s like to be working so hard, doing all the things you’ve been told you should do or must do to be worthy of good things in this life, but then realize at one point or another, at what cost?

You’ve lost sleep, missed family events, stress ate like a motherfucker, and for what?! To have just enough to pay your bills, maybe buy your kids something nice every once in a while, afford a (planned) day off a few times a year, and a few other “tiny joys” here and there. And I’m sorry to break it to you (or maybe you already know):

IT’S. NOT. WORTH. IT.

You have all these dreams of who you would be, what you would do, how you would change the world if only you knew which direction to go.

That’s where I can help.

I’m here for the women who’ve been told they don’t have what it takes to lead. And because you’ve started to believe that nonsense, you’ve started playing small. You let those promotions, new jobs, or other amazing opportunities pass you by. You have an idea for a business, but haven’t been able to pull it off. And to be ultra-specific, I want us to

CHANGE THE NARRATIVE WITH OUR BUSINESSES.

But we can’t do that until we get clear on a few things.

When I first started, I heard the phrase, “Money loves speed!”

And yeah, it got me excited.

I mean, the whole reason I wanted to be an entrepreneur was to get the freedom that comes with more money!

But it quickly woke me up to a lot of the unethical underbelly of digital entrepreneurship and capitalism in general.

Yes, money is still important - it wouldn’t be a business without money involved…it’d be a hobby - but now, I don’t believe money should be at the center of most business decisions. This can get very toxic, very fast and is even counterintuitive to what customers respond to. So I had to start doing things differently.

We run on core brand messages here.

This is how you become a no-brainer to your customers when surrounded by competition. This is how you continue to feel good about your business no matter how big (or small) it is. This is how you push through the lows, the unknowns, the anxieties and more because you have something bigger than you to accomplish.

An idea or value worth fighting for is what grows the fastest.

I believe your entire brand stems from this message. It’s clear your marketing strategy is influenced by it too.

Your message should be like DNA–coded deeply into your brand is the reason for everything you do.

People who should be in your audience and will be the most enthusiastic to buy from you are going to have the same DNA.

If you’re anything like me, you thrive when you have something to figure out, a puzzle to solve, something to do. You’re probably neck deep into figuring out this online entrepreneurship thing as you read this, am I right? And chances are, you’re also pretty damn confused and overwhelmed about it all at this point!

You start to doubt yourself and you’ve tried talking yourself out of doing this course thing altogether. It wasn’t meant to be. I just need to focus on real life more. Who do I think I am? I’m not good enough for this. 

But you don’t let that stop you. You persevere and keep trying to put the pieces together (and I LOVE THAT ABOUT YOU, tbh).

So you end up turning to any and everyone who offers solutions, but then you end up getting pulled in too many different directions.

You hear, “Create your course and funnel first!” only to turn around and be told, “No! You’re wasting your time if you create your course first!”

Or maybe “You need ads if you want to reach anyone anymore!” and the next thing you’re being told is, “Don’t do ads, it’s inauthentic!”

One way or another it’s, “Do this strategy to build your course!” “No, do this strategy to build your course!”

It’s all a little much, isn’t it? 

And the real gag is, you’re probably only struggling because you don’t know why anyone would ever listen to you in the first place. I remember what that’s like. I know how it feels to want to make a difference with a course, but feeling like you don’t have anything special, or different, or interesting, or even useful to offer people. I remember sitting through my fiftieth+ (not even exaggerating) lesson on choosing a course topic and how to market it in a way to “make sales on autopilot”, and all I could think was, 

THIS FEELS SO WRONG!

I’ve worked for Fortune 500 companies for the better part of my adult life. I have my MBA (and another Master of Science in Management and Leadership on the way). And I didn’t just go the traditional University route.

I tried exactly what you’ve tried.

I wanted to learn from people like me who didn’t just get promoted to running a business, but built it from the ground up. I started taking every course, freebie, $27 “better than a course” product, and everything in between I could get my hands on. But all of these were only focused on the mechanics of creating and selling a product.

I thought that was all I needed - “Just tell me how to make this thing and I’ll figure out the rest!”

But the more I learned, the more overwhelmed I became. It was a lot of information, but not enough answers. I wasn’t just trying to create a shell of a course I could pre-sell, create a fast funnel, have a cookie-cutter Instagram feed, create copy & paste ads.

The mediocrity!

It turns out, I wanted to create an online course that would actually mean something. 

I didn’t want to just create what I knew would sell - I mean, obviously I wanted that too - but most importantly,

I WANTED TO MAKE AN IMPACT 

And who impacts us the most in our lives? The people we consider leaders.

I started thinking about all of the people behind the courses I had taken, books I had read, movies I’d watched that had changed my life.

I started thinking about the public figures I followed (past and present); how I listened to what they had to say, took their suggestions, rallied behind their messages, how they molded my understanding of the world. I analyzed the people in my personal life - the family, friends, teachers, neighbors, co-workers - how they might not have had status or tons of money (or any money) but they still impacted my life.

If there was a single thread that tied all of these people together as impactful & influential to me, it was that they didn’t wait to be seen as leaders to start leading.

YOU’RE ALREADY A LEADER

That’s it. That’s the secret.

The problem is - and this was definitely true for me - we tend to get in our own way.

We don’t think we’re smart enough. We don’t think we have enough experience. We don’t think what we have to offer is enough.

But the question we need to ask ourselves is, where’s the proof?

The truth is, there are things that people love to hear you talk about. Things that people think you give the best advice on. Things that you’ve interpreted differently than anyone else and the way you’ve interpreted it is the exact way that will finally make sense to someone else.

Let’s not forget, this is the freakin’ internet! It’s full of people. You don’t think you could teach something that someone out there wants to know?

People already want to learn from you just because it’s you and there’s no one else to deliver your message like you.  It’s just a matter of learning how to bring that leader out, how to craft your message in a way that is easy to not only understand but put into action, and then standing back and letting your work speak for itself.
